The bodice of this jumper is made from
denim fabric and lined with a cotton print. I used one of the prints from the
skirt for the lining. For the girl's size jumper that I made, I was able to use
the fabric from the legs of a pair of second-hand blue jeans! If you are trying
to use jeans also, using a center back seam will probably be necessary.
The amount of fabric that you will need to make the skirt will depend on a few things: the size of the jumper, the fullness and length of the skirt, and the number of different fabrics that you will be using. I selected 5 different fabrics for my jumper; they were blue and white check, a blue and white mini-print, blue and white plaid, solid medium blue, and solid white. I used 1/3 to 2/3 yd. of each fabric, plus 1/3 yd. of the check for the lining of the jumper.
