Hardanger embroidery is primarily made up of geometric shapes, both simple and complex in design.  It is counted thread embroidery, which is always worked over an even weave fabric.  Drawn thread work means that fibers of the fabric are drawn (pulled) out of the fabric to leave gaps and open spaces.  This is not to be confused with pulled thread work which refers to the fibers of the fabric being pulled into little bundles, leaving lacy holes behind.

An apron designed to highlight Hardanger embroidery.

A color information page to use as a divider in a club notebook (notebook not provided).
