Heirloom Stitches - An Encyclopedia of Hand to Machine Stitches

This program will allow the designers at Down Home Dreams to be your personal educators.

DHD01-01 package includes:

10 pre-digitized designs suited for the lesson - on disk.

10 images to be digitized by the students - on disk.

Over the past four years, we have done several lessons that focused on a single heirloom technique. This month, we will be giving an overview of as many different stitches as possible. We are limiting ourselves to surface embroidery stitches (such as Crewel work, Needlework, and basic embroidery) in order to have some focus. We have used several different sources for our research of the original hand stitches, and have often combined the information for each stitch. You will find a list of the books we used at the end of this lesson.
